Cantorial Search Committee Updates

Please fill out our survey about Cantor Jason Green's visit !

The Search Committee has scheduled Cantor Jason Green for this second weekend visit, June 20th through June 22nd.  Your attendance is necessary, as Congregational feedback is essential to the Search Committee's mission.  A link to a survey about Cantor Green's visit will be available beginning Friday, June 20, 2008.  Your feedback on Cantor Green is critical in the search process.  Whether you completed this survey following his first visit or not, please take a few minutes and answer the few short questions.

Hazzan Jason Green presently is the Cantor at Beth Jacob Congregation, in Dayton, Ohio.  Prior to this, Cantor Green was a part-time Hazzan at Beth Jacob Congregation, in Baltimore, while also holding a full-time position at the JCC of Greater Baltimore, where he was Assistant Director for the Adult Life Department, and Camp Ruach Director for the JCC’s day camp for boys.  Born and bred in Montreal, Cantor Green double-majored in music and anatomy at McGill University, in Montreal.  He obtained his Cantorate Diploma from the London School of Jewish Studies in 2006 and became a member of the Cantors Assembly in 2008.

Hazzan Green began singing in his synagogue’s choir at a young age and although relatively young, has been choral director and musical director and high holiday Cantor at synagogues in Canada and the United States for a good number of years.  You can here a sampling of his music and learn more about him by visiting his website, www.bethjacobcong.org/cantorgreen.
